Matthew Hay originally launched Rx Compliance Report in 2002 when the crackdown on drug marketing was in its infancy. The newsletter quickly gained broad appeal and over the course of a dozen years it enjoyed a 100 percent renewal rate on its site licenses to dozens of pharma companies and law firms.

Prior to launching Rx Compliance Report, Hay wrote Compliance Hotline for American Health Consultants. He has also written for numerous other healthcare publishers including BNA, FDANews, Harling Communications, St. Anthony's Publishing, United Communications Group and Washington Information Source Company.

Hay was Senior Writer at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and Manager of Communications at the National Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers (NAMES).

Hay was Marketing Director for Regnery Publishing. He has also written for Direct Impact Company, Edmonds & Associates, International Policy Forum and The McLaughlin Group, among others.

Hay graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Drew University before attending Georgetown University's MPP program.

From 1981 to 1985, he was a member of Second Recon Battalion with the U.S. Marines in North Carolina.
